Liga MB is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 13 rounds left. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game in supposed to be quite interesting. Fourth ranked Santa Tecla (7-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Santiagueno (3-7). Santa Tecla smashed Santiagueno 96-68 on Thursday. Santa Tecla forced 27 Santiagueno turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Colombian Michaell Jackson (190-1987) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 rebounds. American center Raymond Miller (204-1988, college: CS Fullerton) contributed with 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American-Colombian center Freddy Asprilla (206-1988, college: Canisius) answered with 6 points and 16 rebounds for Santiagueno. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Brujos. Santiagueno at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Santa Tecla is looking forward to face Nejapa (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Santiagueno will play against Cojute and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.

Other games in round 13 were not that significant. Bottom-ranked Cojute was beaten by Metapan on the road 90-74. Brujos won against Fantasmas on its own court 100-92. Santa Ana managed to outperform Nejapa in a road game 102-89.
The most impressive performance of 13th round was 35 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds by Marcus Faison of Nejapa.

Metapan - Cojute 90-74

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Metapan (8-1) beat at home bottom-ranked Cojute (1-9) 90-74 on Wednesday. Metapan looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Cojute's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds. American swingman Eddie Ishman (197-1986, college: Miles) contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Metapan players scored in double figures. American swingman Andravious Smith (196-1995, college: Tougaloo) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Jefferson Torres (200-2001) added 13 points in the effort for Cojute. Cojute's coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Metapan maintains second place with 8-1 record behind leader San Salvador. Cojute lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Metapan are looking forward to face Chalchuapa (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
